LFT-3000 is an affordable pulmonary function micro laboratory designed to meet the needs of a large spectrum of users. Incorporated inside of a powerful personal computer, it offers single breath DLCO, lung volumes by the rebreathing technique, full spirometry, bronchial challenge and graphic incentive display. It is available as a portable desk top system, or as a mobile unit mounted on an elegant cart.
Most pulmonary function diagnostic systems currently on the market are cumbersome, occupy too much laboratory space, and are expensive. LFT-3000 is designed to obviate all these drawbacks without sacrificing dependability and accuracy.
Flow and volume measurements are achieved by means of a disposable pneumotach. The breathing manifold is designed to reduce dead space, so that there will be no need to waste time and test gas to purge the system following each test. Gas analysis is achieved with a patented micro gas chromatograph, which needs only 3ml of sample gas. As a result, accurate DCO and lung volumes are obtained with alveolar samples much smaller than conventional IR or electrochemical systems require. This feature extends the functionality of the LFT-3000 from pediatrics to geriatrics and COPD.
The interactive software generates real time graphics for each maneuver. This provides an array of test settings to choose from which suit best the patient's condition, such as: duration of breath holding time, volume of washout and collection samples. It also offers a choice of predicted normals for spirometry, DCO and lung volume; a choice in the correction for hemoglobin; choice in the breathholding method, choice in customizing and formatting the final report; and the ability to review the predicted values before starting any type of test. At the end of each session, whether spirometry, DLCO or lung volumes, test results are ranked and displayed automatically as first, 2nd and 3rd best. The user can then easily select and compare any two tests, such as: A pre-Rx FVC test to a post-Rx FVC test to determine the percent difference.
During the bronchial provocation studies, the user can view on-line the effect of medication on parameters other than the one selected, e.g.: FEV1, and he can also set the provocation dose (PD) level to any desired % value.
Prior to shut down, the system automatically backs up all stored data into another file to prevent loss of data in case of mechanical failure.
Because of its size, weight and price, the LFT-3000 is by far the system of choice for private doctors' offices, mini clinics, outreach/industrial settings as well as pulmonary function laboratories with limited budgets.

Test Gases Required: (Not included)
We can supply gases or they may be ordered from a local supplier. Same gases are used by other manufactureres of PFT systems and are available in most countries.
Gas 1: Diffusion gas mixture
0.2% Ne
0.3% CO
Balance room air
Gas 2: Lung Volume gas mixture
0.2% Ne
60% O2
Balance N2
Gas 3: Plain (medical grade) Helium
Typical cost per test including filter is $ 5 to 6.
We can supply pressure gas regulators for above gases or they may be purchased locally. Gas 1 and 2 requires 60 to 80 PSI, gas 3 requires 8 to 14 PSI.
Gases and regulators* are not included in the base price of the LFT-3000.
Training
An optional on-site 3-day training course is available for $ 1500.00 to 2000, distance dependent.
